Virtual Hebrew School

The Big Idea
As more and more Jewish familes leave what we would refer to as Jewish hubs (either because of career opportunities or other reasons) they become less able to provide a Jewish education for their children beyond the home. Now that internet access is widespread and streaming is an option for these families, why not take advantage of it. We already have homeschooling programs that use an online curriculum, why not a virtual community Hebrew school?
By having virtual students paricipate in projects with Jewish children from Hebrew Schools in Los Angeles as part of their studies, these children get to learn about communities beyond there neighborhood.
This Is A Great Idea Because
FIrst of all, the technological aspect. Second, the fact that Jewish children can get a Jewish education without being connected to a specific shul.
