The Big Idea
For the major Jewish holidays we send care packages with assorted pertinent items to our deployed American Jewish service men and women.
The Impact
We send approximately 300-400 boxes at each holiday.We receive letters and cards for the troops from Hebrew school children, youth groups and synagogue groups to be included in the boxes along with the food and other items.
This Is A Great Idea Because
Non Jewish troops get care packages from many sources, but the Jewish soldier, sometimes the only one in his outpost, gets to enjoy a Kosher little taste of home.
