Jewish Early Warning System (JEWS)

Should a significant threat to Jews, Jewish institutions, or the continuity of the free expression of jewish life or activity, then J.E. W.S. would immediatly notify the necessary authorities and interested parties. The concept is to utilize the most current method of communications available at the time to urgently reach those with a need to know. depending upon available resources this may be limited to USA or worldwide. While I consider myself  qualified to develop and launch this project, if, in the opinion of your committee, either another individual or organization would be more appropriate, then you have my humble…

ONESHUL.com

Problem: Our Jewish family no longer has the limited geographic boundaries of past generations. Family members live in various parts of the country, yet are emotionally connected to their family and friends. We want to be there for our family but live too far away to help.

Solution: Turn on your computer and go to oneshul.com. - The website that connects people in need with people who want to give.

A shul is the center of Jewish life.

At oneshul.com we can request a variety of services from the Jewish community. On this web site elderly/disabled/other or family members of…

Jewish Networking System

As we know there are many programs and sites such as Ask Moses.com, Chabad.org,, Lashon Hara hotline, etc. that provide support and information to anyone who needs it. Seemingly these are a few of the many great sites offered to those who seek it. The question is, how can we somehow bring them all together in a cohesive form to offer interactive, modern, and interesting way. My idea is to create a world wide network of Jewish networking within the youth and adults similar to facebook. Where people can post questions about Judaism and members can answer them in an…

The Jewish dream

It takes great ideas but also money for young entrepreneurs to succeed. The idea is to create a Jewish microfinancing website that will support jewish entrepreuneurial initiative around the world, allow them to tap into a panel of profesionnal that will mentor them and monitor their project to bring it to success. The idea is that these entrepreneurs will have to be part of the future panel of mentors and give back to the microfinancing pool.

LA Adult Education Opportunities Calendar

Create a bi-monthly or quarterly listing of adult Jewish education opportunities thoughout the LA area, covering synagogues, universities, libraries, Jewish centers, and Jewish organizations. The listings would give the name, location, and contact telephone number/email of the sponsoring organization; the date(s), time, description, and instructor of the program; the amount of any tuition or attendance fee, and any advance registration requirements. The courses and classes could be listed under multiple sections (topic area, geographical location, target audience -- Senior, Young parent, etc., prerequisites or level of materials -- beginner/intermediate/advanced, etc.).

Ideally, the calendar would be mailed free to subscribers, and…

Imagine a universal set of cutting edge, innovative online tools used by every Jewish non-profit organization to post events, take RSVPs and online payments, accept online donations, post photo galleries and educational material, and keep everyone up to date! Image if every sermon and piece of educational material posted onto every website was also shared in a national archive! Imagine being able…

NCSY 3.0

We live in in an instant-delivery culture. Movies are streamed to your computer, news arrives at your newsfeed, invitations are sent through Facebook, and emails come straight to your phone. People no longer need to go to physical locations in order to get what they need but rather they increasingly expect to have those things delivered straight to them, no matter where he or she is.

The same is true with Jewish content. NCSY has always been an innovative youth organization by inspiring and educating teens in the places where they were found. In its early days, when a majority…
