Jerusalem4ALL

Jerusalem4ALL is a collaborative, communities based international education, training, and research organization dedicated to promoting peace, security, freedom, and planetary well-being. The topography of Jerusalem inspired an ancient understanding of the holy city as the navel of the earth. We now envision an open Jerusalem as the capital city of the planet.

Jerusalem4All is dedicated to innovative, forward looking approaches to the future of the Jewish people in the current millennium. Peoples across the planet live in communities whether rural villages or villages within urban megalopolis centers such as Los Angeles, Paris or New York. In our era more women…

The Los Angeles Jewish Wellness Initiative

Six months ago there was a webinar on Dr. Daniel Amen's website. Pastor Rick Warren from the Saddleback Church was talking about a program that Drs. Amen, Oz and Hyman put together to lead the congregation into a decade of wellness. Though not a member of the church, I attended the launch of œThe Daniel Plan and along with almost 7000 attendees, pledged to ourselves and to G-d to lead a more healthful life. What is the premise of this program? Good nutrition, movement, quit smoking, moderate alcohol consumption, decrease stress¦nothing we don't already know.

But why will it be…

Holiday Pilgrimage

The holidays of Pessach, Shavuot and Sukkot mark three special points in the year when the entire Jewish community would unite in Jerusalem to celebrate together. The State of Israel was reintroduced to the world amidst a business savvy population- one which drives travel prices up specifically at popular times such as holidays. This project aims at securing affordable family trips to Israel, encouraging jubilant celebratory experience in the heart of our homeland along with all of our brothers and sisters.

Making Jewish Day School Education Affordable Through Responsible Financial Behavior

Jewish Day Schools were created as a place where Jewish children can learn about their religious heritage and general studies in a socially growing and nurturing environment that prevents assimilation. My grandparents were on the forefront of building Jewish educational institutions in Los Angeles where none existed. I myself am a proud graduate of two of these fine schools. However, my generation's expectatations for their childrens' education has risen to the point of financial irresponsibility.

The result is that 2/3 of Jewish families in Los Angeles (and most of America for that matter) cannot afford Jewish day school, absent going…

Bibliyoga - Yoga with a Jewish Twist

Who said you can't learn Torah while wearing spandex? Where did Maimonides teach that we need to stay fit in order to know God? How can we fulfil King David's words and use our entire body for getting spiritually connected? Which ancient Rabbi performed holy handstands in the Temple?

Here in Los Angeles, more Jews attend yoga studios than synagogues. We can expend more effort trying to attract them back to traditional spaces or we can meet them where they are. We'll provide Jewish content for the yoga classes they attend and build community where they're at. We'll empower them…

FREE ROSH HASHANA AND YOM KIPPUR SERVICES FOR “HIGH HOLIDAY JEWS”

Providing free Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur tickets will make the most significant Jewish holidays accessible to "unaffiliated" Jews who might be interested in going to high holiday services but who are not motivated enough to do the research or spend the money. It will provide a valuable service to this "non-community-community" by attracting participants with innovative, popular, community-wide holiday services. It will also provide a creative vehicle to expose otherwise disconnected Jews to the myriad of year-round opportunities for Jewish community engagement, whether religious, social or volunteer.

Having this option available would communicate to "high holiday Jews" that there…

The creation of an all-digital online story archive of women rabbis

After collecting the inspiring, moving, instructive stories of 18 Los Angeles women rabbis, and presenting the stories in theatrical presentations, we saw first-hand the power and impact of these personal stories of G-d, Torah, motherhood, etc. on Jews and non-Jews alike. We want to collect the stories of women rabbis, first in Los Angeles, and then world-wide, and make them available via the internet. There is great benefit to the community at large, as well as to future generations, who will be able to learn from the these trailblazing spiritual leaders because their images, words and stories are preserved forever. …

Virtual Hebrew School

As more and more Jewish familes leave what we would refer to as Jewish hubs (either because of career opportunities or other reasons) they become less able to provide a Jewish education for their children beyond the home. Now that internet access is widespread and streaming is an option for these families, why not take advantage of it. We already have homeschooling programs that use an online curriculum, why not a virtual community Hebrew school?

Counter Assimilation - Fundamental Solution

Re. ensuring the Jewish future: seamlessly (no disconnect) reliable and engaging, high profile, coordinated mass Jewish identity counter assimilation & reinforcement programing -

1) every Saturday night, age appropriate social programing (i.e. dances, concerts, developmental talks by such LA area residents, such as Dr. Pat Allen, Dr. Phil, Oprah, Dennis Prager, Sandy Koufax, William Shatner, Leonard Nemoy, etc.) at all "round-robin" participating temples of all Jewish denomination (with Kosher refreshments in order to neutralize the dietary denominational issue), simultaneously at different temples for each of the following vertical subsets: a) immediately post-Hillel & alumnae, b) immediately post-Birthright Israel & alumnae,…

Supermarket and/or Retail Stores Gift Cards

This is a fund raiser for either a synagogue or a community. Contact several supermarkets, target, department stores regarding their willingness to let either a synagogue (or more than one) purchase gift cards and sell them. For instance, a synagogue or community can buy Macys gift cards in different denominations i.e. $100 card but only pay $90 for it. When you sell these cards to customers, you sell it for the full value and the difference is your profit.
